Freeths law firm has recently welcomed Construction and Engineering Partner Matt Collingwood-Cooper on board, enhancing the firm’s sector offerings in Yorkshire. Formerly at Addleshaw Goddard, Matt brings more than two decades of experience in risk management and dispute resolution work. Recognized for his practical and persistent approach, he advises a wide range of clients on construction-related disputes.

With a focus on utility sectors, framework disputes, and the PFI sector, Matt has handled numerous high-profile cases, including appearances in the Court of Appeal. In his new role, he will collaborate with National Head of Construction and Engineering Chris Holwell and Leeds-based Construction and Engineering Partner Rachael Yates to further expand Freeths’ presence in the region.

Commenting on Matt’s appointment, Chris stated: “Matt’s arrival will bolster our already strong construction and engineering sector offerings, providing valuable support for our clients.” In response, Matt expressed his enthusiasm for joining a nationally recognized firm like Freeths, emphasizing the top-notch quality of the construction and engineering services offered.
