Despite the challenges in the recruitment sector, Staffline Group, based in Nottingham, saw an increase in revenue for the first half of 2024. Revenue rose by 11.7% to £480.2m, up from £430m in the same period last year. However, the company reported a loss before tax of £12.1m, compared to a loss of £1.4m the previous year.
Albert Ellis, CEO of Staffline, expressed satisfaction with the company’s performance, stating, “In a persistently challenging macro-economic environment, Staffline’s focus on organic growth and customer service has proven successful.” He also noted, “PeoplePlus’s exit from the Skills market a year ago has helped reduce overheads, particularly amidst recent political changes in the UK.”
Overall, Ellis commended the Group for their efforts, stating, “I am pleased that we expect underlying trading to meet expectations for the full year.”
