Tuntum Housing Association is pleased to announce that Danielle Oum will assume the role of Chair, succeeding Junior Hemans who has held the position since 2015. Ms. Oum, currently Chair of Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board and Board member of Fusion21, brings a wealth of experience to the organization. She has previously held various leadership roles in NHS Trusts and housing associations, including Walsall Housing Group.
Tuntum Housing Association, founded in 1988, is a leading black and minority ethnic (BME) housing provider in the UK, managing over 1,600 homes across 12 local authority areas. Ms. Oum expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve as Chair, emphasizing the importance of the recently launched Corporate Strategy 2024-2027 in guiding the organization towards modernization while staying true to its values.
Charmaine Simei, Tuntum’s Chief Executive, highlighted Ms. Oum’s strategic leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, noting the potential for positive change under her guidance. Junior Hemans, the outgoing Chair, praised Ms. Oum’s appointment and expressed confidence in the association’s future success.
