Apprenticeships offered by UA92 tech giant are sparking a fire in students’ hearts.

University Academy 92 (UA92), in partnership with industry giants including Cisco, Amazon Web Services, KPMG, and Microsoft, is changing the traditional path of university education. Situated next to Lancashire Cricket Club and directly next door to the Theatre of Dreams, the campus provides a base for Microsoft and implements an innovative curriculum co-developed with the tech company, ensuring that students’ learning is current and up-to-date. Apprenticeships are a key element of the practical learning experience that UA92 offers. The program spans 12-18 months, allowing students to spend one day a week on campus and the remainder of their time with their employer organizations, ensuring that students are equipped with relevant theory and practice skills for the workplace. UA92’s unique approach to education, with 100% coursework and no end-of-year exams, has been praised by Ofsted and the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), who have validated the quality of their apprenticeship provision. UA92 will expand its apprenticeship offerings by introducing new programmes to meet customer and market demands in 2024-2025.
