Mallinson Properties for KMS Transport, a Barnsley haulage and logistics company, has recently secured a £1.2 million investment from the Goldthorpe Towns Commercial Investment Fund. This investment will be used to expand pallet storage capacity, create new job opportunities, and enhance social value through local supply chain support and environmental sustainability initiatives.

The Goldthorpe Towns Commercial Investment Fund is part of a government-funded initiative investing £23.1 million in Goldthorpe, Thurnscoe, and Bolton upon Dearne. The Goldthorpe Town Deal Board oversees the distribution of this investment, with a focus on supporting businesses to create high-quality jobs and attract new investments to the Dearne area.
Mallinson Properties is utilizing the grant to construct two extensions to its current premises, showcasing their commitment to growth and development. Councillor Robin Franklin, Cabinet spokesperson for Regeneration and Culture, highlighted the support provided by Enterprising Barnsley in securing the funding and lauded Mallinson Properties for their ambition in expanding their business.
