Journeo, a provider of information systems and technical services to transport operators and local authorities, has achieved a landmark first half. In a trading update for the six months ending on 30 June 2024 (H1 2024), Journeo experienced robust performance, with total group revenue up 17% to £25.6m and adjusted profit before tax rising by 54% to £2.8m.

Looking forward, revenue for the entire year is expected to reach around £50m, slightly surpassing current market projections, while adjusted profit before tax is anticipated to be £4.8m, exceeding expectations by £0.4m.

Russ Singleton, Chief Executive of Journeo plc, expressed satisfaction with the H1 2024 results and the increase in sales orders, attributing them to the company’s strategy to capitalize on government-backed growth opportunities in the transport sector.

Singleton highlighted the growing recognition among Journeo’s target clientele of the company’s proficiency in delivering cutting-edge solutions that address the challenges of enhancing the quantity and quality of public transport journeys. He emphasized Journeo’s commitment to customer feedback and investment in the research and development of future technologies and software, emphasizing performance, reliability, and sustainability.
