Edit Cloud has recently raised £2 million in funding to bring about efficient and collaborative post-production capabilities. Founded by Simon Green, the platform uses cloud-based tools and AI technology to enable collaborative efforts by teams from any device or software, anywhere in the world. Edit Cloud has already partnered with major brands such as ITV Studios, Adobe and AWS as well as heavyweight agencies like Publicis.

The funding round was initiated by Edge, a specialist creative-tech VC firm, with angel investors like Simon Ward, founder of Inspired Thinking Group, and technology entrepreneur Justin Cooke supporting. Simon Green, the founder, stated that the company aims to transform production processes into the cloud and enable access to diverse talent, democratisation, and sustainable delivering of services. He expressed confidence in the ability of Edge and the incoming experience of Simon Ward and Justin Cooke to fast-track the company’s ambitions.

Hannah Williamson, Edge VC’s senior investment manager, commended Edit Cloud’s pioneering efforts and its use of cutting-edge technology. She expressed excitement over partnering with Edit Cloud as the company transforms traditional workflows and empowers a new generation of content creators.

Simon Ward, a non-executive director of Edit Cloud, praised the platform’s ability to create simplicity and innovation in the sector. He believes that Edit Cloud’s platform unlocks the future of editing, eliminating time-wasting processes, inefficiency, resulting in better work and better teams.

Edit Cloud’s recent funding is an important step in the company’s efforts to simplify post-production services and push boundaries. As the industry continues to evolve, Edit Cloud will remain at the forefront of innovation and collaboration.
