Glencar, a construction company, has been reappointed by Verdant Regeneration to develop two new units totaling 31,350 sq ft at their strategic industrial/warehouse development site in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. This decision comes shortly after the completion of Unit 1, a 20,400 sq ft build for DX Group.

The construction of the £4.4m units, designed by Stephen George Partnerships, began in June and is expected to be completed in 34 weeks. The project is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2025.

Pete Goodman, Managing Director at Glencar, expressed excitement about the project, stating, “Repeat business is the best business, and we are delighted to be back at New Stanton Park following the successful completion of DX’s regional sortation hub. The site’s strategic location near the M1 has already attracted significant interest from international, national, and regional occupiers.”

Verdant Regeneration’s David Ward also shared enthusiasm about the project, saying, “We are pleased to reappoint Glencar for the construction of the next 2 units at New Stanton Park. The site offers a strategic location with excellent transport connectivity, and we look forward to welcoming new tenants.”

Together, Glencar and Verdant Regeneration are looking forward to delivering these key developments and attracting a range of tenants to New Stanton Park.
