“Commencing construction on the new £7.5m Community Pavilion at Hickings Lane Recreation Ground in Stapleford signifies a significant milestone for the town’s development. The pavilion boasts a range of amenities, including a community café, function rooms, multi-use event spaces, and enhanced onsite parking and cycle storage facilities. Additionally, it will feature cutting-edge sports pitches and changing rooms, catering to sports enthusiasts in the area.
The upcoming relocation of the Steven Gerard Academy to Hickings Lane in 2025 will further elevate Stapleford’s status as a hub for sports and education. The academy’s presence will not only enhance opportunities for children and young people but also contribute to local job creation.
