Dunelm, the homewares retailer, has seen an increase in sales as reported in a trading update for the 13-week period ended 29 June 2024 (Q4) and for the full year (FY24). Sales for the final quarter grew by 5% to £399m, with strong performance in both store and digital channels. Total sales for the year reached £1.7bn, marking a 4% increase from the previous year, and pre-tax profits are expected to exceed current market expectations (£200m).
Chief Executive Officer Nick Wilkinson shared, “We delivered another strong performance in Q4, with continued sales growth across both store and digital channels. Our focus on value and choice has resonated with customers, resulting in positive sales during our summer sale period.” Moving forward into FY25, Dunelm plans to expand its store opening programme, invest in digital operations, and maintain a strong operational grip in light of ongoing wage inflation. Despite market uncertainties, the company remains optimistic about its growth plans and market share gains.
