ExamWorks UK, a leading provider of medico-legal services, health assessments, and rehabilitation treatment, has successfully acquired Enable Therapy Services (ETS). Serving clients both nationally and internationally from its base in Leeds, ETS was founded in 2008 by Julie Kendall, an Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in both statutory and private healthcare settings.

ETS offers a range of proactive Rehabilitation, Vocational Case Management, and Occupational Therapy Assessment & Treatment Services through a dedicated team of 40 staff and a network of over 275 Occupational Therapists. Following the acquisition, Julie Kendall will continue to play a key role as a Non-Executive Director at ETS.

Mike Cutler, Group CEO, expressed his satisfaction with the acquisition, stating: “We are pleased to welcome Enable Therapy Services to the ExamWorks UK family. ETS, under Julie’s leadership, has built a strong reputation in the case management market, particularly in high-value and serious injury cases. This aligns perfectly with our existing brands, Premex+ and 3d Rehabilitation, and positions ETS well to seize growth opportunities in occupational health, loss adjuster, and income protection markets.”

Enable Therapy Services now joins Choose Occupational Health and Washington House Occupational Health in ExamWorks UK’s portfolio. Julie Kendall, Managing Director at ETS, shared her excitement about the acquisition: “I am thrilled that ETS will continue to grow as part of ExamWorks UK. The additional resources available will support the team in achieving their growth goals. Our Senior Management Team brings extensive experience and will be a valuable asset to the ExamWorks UK group. I am looking forward to continuing my support as a Non-Executive Director.”

ExamWorks UK was advised by Pinsent Masons for legal counsel and worked with Grant Thornton for financial guidance during the acquisition process. ETS received advice from Eclipse Corporate Finance (corporate finance), Lupton Fawcett (legal), and Gibson Booth (accountancy/tax).
