Kent-based Howe Maxted has joined Leeds insurance brokers JMG Group, expanding their reach in the general business insurance sector. JMG Group acquired Howe Maxted’s insurance division, positioning them alongside JM Glendinning Insurance Brokers’ network of 12 offices across the UK.
Operated by directors Graham Smith and John Maxted, Howe Maxted has been pioneering risk identification and mitigation for clients for over a century. With the acquisition by JMG, all 14 staff members will continue to work from their Sidcup headquarters under the current leadership.
Director Graham Smith emphasizes that putting people first was a key factor in the decision to join JMG Group. He states, “The numbers will work when your people are happy.” This aligns with JMG’s approach of prioritizing team well-being and client satisfaction.
Director John Maxted highlights the benefits of the partnership, stating, “Joining JMG Group will allow our leadership team to focus on business growth, rather than regulatory concerns.” This strategic move will propel Howe Maxted into the next phase of their development.
JMG Group CEO Nick Houghton expresses enthusiasm for the collaboration, acknowledging Howe Maxted’s esteemed reputation and customer loyalty. He affirms, “Howe Maxted perfectly embodies the values we seek in new partners, and we are excited to witness their continued success within our group.”
