Furthermore, £1m will be utilized for improving facades and shop frontages in Bolsover, Clowne, South Normanton, Creswell, Whitwell, Pinxton, and Tibshelf to attract more visitors and boost footfall. Additionally, £4.3m has been earmarked for the purchase and renovation of prominent buildings in Bolsover town, generating creative, business, and community facilities.
Pinxton will receive approximately £700k for the refurbishment of the former Church Hall to provide a community meeting space, multi-purpose hall, community café, outdoor seating, and a play area for children. In Shirebrook, £4m will be invested in constructing a Green Skills and Retrofit Skills Centre, along with a new Market Place pavilion to enhance the visitor experience and increase footfall.
