Hailing from the East Midlands, Piet brings with him a wealth of experience as a specialist construction and engineering lawyer, catering to clients in the construction, engineering, and renewable energy sectors. Additionally, he is well-versed in ensuring compliance with the new Building Safety Act regulations.
With a comprehensive understanding of the entire project lifecycle, Piet excels in areas such as building regulation compliance, procurement, resolving commercial issues, and managing project accounts. Beyond the renewables sector, he has contributed to various engineering projects including nuclear waste plants, process engineering plants, sequence batch reactors, and waste to energy plants. His expertise extends to handling significant disputes in the Technology & Construction Court, engaging in international & domestic arbitration, and adeptly navigating adjudication and mediation processes.
Acting as a director of Procon Leicestershire and Chair of the East Midlands Chamber of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Piet’s appointment reflects Howes Percival’s commitment to enhancing its construction services.
