Kathryn Chapman is appointed to lead Innovate Cambridge.

Innovate Cambridge has announced the appointment of Kathryn Chapman as its new executive director to strengthen the city’s innovation portfolio. Previously serving as the innovation director at Babraham Research Campus, Chapman has experience in varied leadership roles across different sectors. Her focus has been on pioneering inclusive innovation landscapes, creating cross-disciplinary communities, and developing innovative models that aid startups, entrepreneurs and businesses towards success. Innovate Cambridge strategy, in association with over 200 organizations, is aiming to maximize returns for Cambridge’s innovation, business and scientific communities to share the growth across the UK. Innovate Cambridge has secured funding for the next three years to deliver on its targets of developing pioneers in innovation, commutating outside and within the region for a larger impact, and leading on sustainable, inclusive and green growth. Chapman said: “The momentum and strong support for Innovate Cambridge provides a fabulous opportunity to enhance Cambridge as a global innovation hub, and I am very excited to lead it and mobilize the collective brilliance and energy of Cambridge to deliver real value across the city, region and the UK.”
