Brand K Group, a prominent supplier of radiators and bathroom equipment to independent merchants and showrooms, has recently completed a seven-figure acquisition of Lincolnshire-based Paladin Radiators. This marks the seventh acquisition in the past five years for Brand K Group, underscoring its continuous efforts to establish itself as a leading player in the UK HVAC and bathroom sector.
Paladin Radiators, known for its traditional cast iron radiators assembled and finished in Britain, will continue to operate under its existing brand following the acquisition. Shareholders Dean Chughtai and Gareth Charles will remain at the helm of Paladin, driving its growth and development within the group.
Founded by Alex Norford in 2008, Brand K Group has steadily expanded its operations across various locations in the UK, employing over 750 individuals and generating a turnover exceeding £163m. Its acquisition trail includes reputable UK manufacturers such as Just Trays, Vogue UK, Summerbridge, and MX Group.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the latest addition to the group, Alex Norford, CEO of Brand K Group, stated, “I am delighted to welcome Dean, Gareth, and their team to the group. We’re excited to have acquired another of the most respected brands in the UK radiator market and to expand further our offering to the heritage and design-led home improvement sectors.”
Since the leadership transition in 2017, Paladin’s turnover has doubled under Dean Chughtai and Gareth Charles, culminating in a growth trajectory centered on quality products and customer-focused operations. Speaking on their experience, Dean Chughtai commented, “Thanks to the team at Paladin, we’ve achieved all of that and are very pleased to see the business well-positioned to continue on its path of success moving forwards.”
Gareth Charles added, “In Brand K Group, we’ve found the perfect home for Paladin. Alex and his team have a deep understanding of the UK radiator market and offer the business a great opportunity to expand and develop even further.”
The acquisition was facilitated with the expert guidance of Harry Walker and Fahim Kassam from Dow Schofield Watts (DSW) and legal advice from Fladgate and finance support from Shawbrook Bank. The strategic move signifies Brand K Group’s commitment to strategic growth and market expansion.
