Optegra Eye Health Care, a leading national provider of vision correction services, has recently relocated to new Grade A premises in Nottingham. The company, headquartered in London, has expanded its operations to Apex Court in Wilford, Nottingham by leasing the ground floor of Building C at the business park. This new clinic will offer NHS cataract surgery to local residents.

Darren Whitelaw, Optegra’s Head of Property and Asset Management, stated, “We have established 11 new NHS clinics across the country within the past two years to support the NHS and deliver timely cataract surgery. Each project presented unique challenges, but we successfully created Optegra-style hospitals for our patients.” In Nottingham, the challenge involved dividing a two-floor property into separate units and developing the hospital on the ground floor. Working with NG has been a positive experience, and we are pleased with the outcome, confident that our patients will be as well.”

Charlotte Steggles, Associate Director at NG, facilitated the deal for Optegra’s new facility on behalf of a private landlord client. She commented, “We are thrilled to assist Optegra in their expansion at Apex Court, a location renowned for its excellent transportation links to Nottingham city centre and beyond. Our partnership with Optegra further solidifies our reputation as a premier full-service agency.”

NG Director Jude Weston oversees the building on behalf of the landlord, while Building Consultancy Director Paul Rogers managed the Cat A works to split the property and supervised the tenant’s renovations. Paul expressed, “Collaborating with our property management and agency teams to provide a comprehensive property solution for our client has been rewarding. Our focus was on completing the Cat A works efficiently, within budget, and as per the design specifications. Having previous experience with the property, we were able to navigate the challenges effectively and work closely with the tenant’s representative on the Cat B works.”
