The Offshore Wind Growth Partnership has appointed Iain Sinclair as a new non-executive director, replacing outgoing board member Richard Turner. Sinclair, with over 20 years of experience in the renewable energy supply chain, is excited to contribute to the UK’s renewable energy sector development. As the former executive director of Global Energy Group, Sinclair aims to leverage his experience in driving OWGP’s strategy and supporting companies nationwide with innovative products and services.
Expressing gratitude towards Richard Turner for his support, OWGP Programme Director Anil Sayhan welcomes Sinclair’s expertise in manufacturing and ports. OWGP Chair Tim Pick acknowledges Sinclair’s pivotal role in aligning programs with the Industrial Growth Plan and launching new initiatives like the Manufacturing Facility Support Programme.
OWGP’s mission is to bolster a competitive offshore wind supply chain in the UK by enhancing productivity, increasing competitiveness, and promoting collaboration and innovation. The programs have already led to an increase in offshore wind jobs, contracts, and growth in the UK supply chain.
