Sajeeda Rose is poised to take on the role of Nottingham City Council’s new Chief Executive. The appointment has been proposed for official approval at a meeting of Full Council on Monday, August 5th. With a successful track record as the Council’s Corporate Director for Growth and City Development since September 2021, Sajeeda has effectively overseen planning, transport, economic development, property, major regeneration, and housing initiatives for the council. She played a pivotal role in establishing the East Midlands Combined County Authority.
City Council Leader, Cllr Neghat Khan, commended Sajeeda’s extensive experience in spearheading change and transformation within the council and other East Midlands organizations. Sajeeda’s leadership in transitioning housing management services back into the council and driving the redevelopment of Broad Marsh showcases her ability to seize major opportunities for the City. In her previous role as Chief Executive of the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership, she played a crucial role in securing and delivering investments to bolster the regional economy.
Acknowledging the challenges ahead, Cllr Neghat Khan expressed confidence in Sajeeda, stating, “I am confident that Sajeeda’s knowledge, expertise, and experience will propel us forward on our improvement journey.” Looking ahead, Sajeeda Rose shared her aspirations for Nottingham, stating, “Nottingham is a great city with significant opportunities on the horizon. As the Council’s new Chief Executive, I am committed to harnessing this potential and charting a new course towards our ambitious goals.”
