Peveril Securities and Sladen Estates have recently submitted plans for the second phase of Summit Park, situated on the A617 between Ashfield and Mansfield in Nottinghamshire. The proposed development includes two distribution warehouses – a 172,000 sq ft unit in Building One and a 525,000 sq ft unit in Building Two, located next to the existing Amazon-occupied site at Summit Park. These warehouses will adhere to the BREEAM Excellent standard.

According to Matt Sladen, development director at Sladen Estates, “Summit Park was a significant development for the region, and we are excited to announce this second phase. The combined space of nearly 700,000 sq ft between the two units will further enhance the logistics sector in this area.”

The application for the scheme covers two planning authorities, with submissions made to Ashfield District Council and Mansfield District Council for the respective buildings. Ralph Jones, managing director at Peveril Securities, stated, “Following the success of Summit Park, where 1,750,000 sq ft of distribution space was delivered for Amazon, we are now progressing with the crucial second phase of this development. With its strategic location near the M1 junction, the site offers prime access to the motorway network, making it an ideal location for the logistics sector. The submission of applications for two more warehouses marks a significant advancement for the project.”
