The CEO of Synectics plc, Paul Webb, has unexpectedly passed away. Webb had been with the security and surveillance systems company since 2004, and was appointed CEO in 2015. He was a driving force behind the firm’s strategic direction and financial progress. The board has appointed Amanda Larnder, CFO of Synectics plc, as interim CEO.

Larnder expressed her shock and sorrow, stating that Webb’s passion and dedication to Synectics and its team were unparalleled. She added that his support and advice had been invaluable to her, and that he would be sorely missed. The board and the company extended their thoughts and condolences to Webb’s family.

Synectics plc targets sectors including gaming, oil and gas, public space, transport, and critical infrastructure to help protect people, property, communities, and assets globally.

In other news, according to a report, British companies risk losing billions of value.
