South Derbyshire manufacturers are encouraged to attend an upcoming event on July 16th at South Derbyshire CVS in Swadlincote to discover valuable opportunities for growth and support. Hosted by East Midlands Chamber as part of the Accelerator project, the Support & Grow breakfast event aims to connect manufacturers with resources both locally and nationally.
During the event, attendees will learn about various funding opportunities, including the chance to digitize through a Made Smarter grant, enhance energy efficiency with decarbonisation grants and a complimentary energy audit, and receive assistance from a digital skills coach. Devtank, a successful South Derbyshire business specializing in test and measurement solutions, will share their growth journey, highlighting the impact of Chamber support and grant funding.
According to Paul Stuart, Head of Business Support Services at East Midlands Chamber, their role is to guide businesses through the funding landscape and facilitate access to the right support for their projects. He emphasizes how targeted assistance, like the Accelerator project funded by the UK Government, can significantly benefit businesses like Devtank.
At the event, attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from Digital Transformation Specialist David Dobson about the Made Smarter programme and its potential to boost competitiveness. Additionally, Deborah Rogers, East Midlands Manufacturing Network Adviser, will outline the advantages of joining the Chamber’s dedicated manufacturing network, which offers complimentary membership.
