GM Business Growth Hub has unveiled its flagship programme, the ASCEND Scale Up Programme, targeted at Greater Manchester’s ambitious founders. The six-month dynamic development activity will commence in mid-September 2024 with 25 founders who are primed for exponential growth. KPMG, GM Business Growth Hub’s partner, will manage several delivery days, including an opening ‘Strategy to Action’ event at the Ignition space in Manchester’s city centre. Participants are set to delve into strategy frameworks, strategic options assessment, and conquering any challenges within growth strategies. They will also learn various techniques to create a culture of success within their teams, empowering them to drive tangible results and innovation. Additionally, ASCEND participants will attend the Web Summit in Lisbon in November 2024, joining over 70,000 attendees at the world’s largest tech conference.
Those interested in the programme are encouraged to apply before Friday 26th July 2024. Shortlisted applicants will receive interviews between the 5th and 16th August. “The programme will be tailored to the individual needs of everyone participating,” said Janine Smith, director of GM Business Growth Hub. ASCEND will begin with an immersive ‘Strategy to Action’ day hosted by KPMG at their Manchester City Centre offices. This will be followed by a series of workshops, fireside chats, lightning talks, coaching and mentoring, demo days, and a funded space to attend the aforementioned Web Summit in Lisbon in November.
“If you are ready to scale and are looking for the support to get you there whether that be putting the fundamentals in place, developing a team, accessing investment or learning from those who have already done it, this could be the programme for you,” Smith added.
