CleanTech startup Heatio, based in Liverpool, has announced two appointments to its senior leadership team to support its initiatives with the Government’s Net Zero Portfolio this summer. Neil Norman joins as chairman of the board and Scott Williams as chief product officer. Norman also invested in Heatio as part of the investment round. Williams will drive Heatio’s product vision, strategy, and execute its processes.
Heatio’s intelligent energy platform uses AI and machine learning and manages technologies such as solar panels, heat pumps, EV chargers, and batteries to give users real-time energy insights. Simon Roberts, chief executive and co-founder, said, “Our small team has gone from strength to strength,” and with the new hires, the company enters an exciting new chapter of growth and industry leadership.
Norman, who was previously the founder and CEO of MSite, brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of developing and scaling organisations in the DeepTech sector. Williams has years of experience building product capabilities and assets for scaling digital businesses at organisations such as Google, Habito, and Kugu Home, as well as running his own business.
With a focus on strategic planning, collaboration, and innovation, Heatio is poised to support more homeowners in adopting low-carbon technologies and delivering the UK rollout of the Heatio smart home energy platform. The appointments mark Heatio’s recent success in securing £2 million in investment, and the company continues to expand with new hires and industry leadership.
