In the heart of Mansfield, just under 20,000ft² of trade counter/warehouse space has been sold. The expanding Richford Motors, a vehicle recovery operator based in Alfreton since 1990, seized the freehold opportunity. According to Phil Richford, the purchaser and owner of Richford Motors, the new site in Mansfield will support the growth of Richford Motor Services Ltd, create local job opportunities, and help reduce their carbon footprint.
Phil Richford stated, “We are very happy with our new site in Mansfield, this site is to complement Richford Motor Services Ltd in their continuing growth and keep vehicle recoveries local to the Mansfield area, create more jobs locally and help with minimising our carbon footprint.
The site will be fully refurbished to a high standard, with job opportunities being advertised promptly to get the site operational as soon as possible.”
Describing the sale process, Tim Gilbertson from FHP expressed gratitude towards his clients and Phil Richford for their assistance in facilitating a quick sale. He emphasized the success of the sale, highlighting the diminishing stock levels in north Nottinghamshire, particularly in terms of freehold properties.
As the summer season approaches, there is a noticeable increase in momentum in the industrial and distribution sector, especially for freehold sales. The market is seeing successful sales and lettings, although there is a growing frustration among parties due to the limited available options. The hope is that as the summer holidays wind down, there will be more opportunities for disposals to capitalize on the current market momentum and achieve further success before the year-end.
Tim Gilbertson concluded by extending his thanks and best wishes to the purchaser for their continued success and expansion in the industry.
