Spitfire Homes, a Midlands-based homebuilder, has officially begun construction on a new collection of 280 properties in Radcliffe-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire. The development will feature a variety of detached, semi-detached, and terraced homes ranging from one- to five-bedrooms.

Moreover, the project includes community contributions exceeding £2 million, with a significant portion earmarked for local highway infrastructure and public transport enhancements. Additionally, over £870,000 will be invested in the expansion and improvement of Radcliffe-on-Trent Infant and Nursery, as well as Radcliffe-on-Trent Junior School, to accommodate more students from the area.

Operations Director at Spitfire Homes, Matt Vincent, expressed enthusiasm about the company’s debut in Nottinghamshire, emphasizing their commitment to meeting the market’s demand for high-quality, design-focused homes. With the aim of creating vibrant and diverse communities, Spitfire is set to employ over 850 individuals and inject over £2 million into the local community, with a particular focus on education and transport infrastructure.

The first homes are scheduled to be available this autumn, with initial occupancies projected for Spring 2025. Each property will harmonize with the local surroundings through a blend of multi-tonal brickwork and chalk white render, creating a diverse array of streetscapes.

Leading the construction team is Senior Site Manager, Tim O’Toole, a two-time recipient of the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards for his exceptional work on previous Spitfire developments. Tim emphasized the team’s dedication to maintaining Spitfire’s high standards and expressed excitement about contributing to the creation of a new community in Radcliffe-on-Trent that residents will proudly call home.
