Fruugo, a UK-based online marketplace platform, has hired Fergal Gara as its new COO in preparation for global expansion. Prior to joining Fruugo, Gara served as the chief commercial officer at CMS Distribution, overseeing commercial strategy and operations across the UK, Europe, and the USA. He also held several roles at Amazon, leading internal transformation programs, the implementation of new automation and business intelligence tools, and delivery of operational improvement programs.
As the new COO of Fruugo, Gara will draw on his deep sector knowledge, having led numerous change programs and acquisitions in the European and USA markets. Gara will utilize his expertise to steer Fruugo’s sales and marketing activity, building awareness and driving customer engagement across key regions.
